WF Catholic Community Celebrates our intramural football team!

We are the Champions for our league!!!

written by Alexandra Jones:

The game was played under the bright lights at Wake Forest's BB&T Field!  We definitely came out ready to win. We had identified all their strengths and weaknesses before the game so we knew what to we needed to focus on to win. Captain Anne gave us quite a pep talk before the game which reiterated all of these ideas and got us pumped to play. Then we just went out there and played our game. We scored very early which gave us a boost of confidence that lasted throughout the game. We kept the penalties to the minimum, played great defense, and were able to put plenty of points up on the board for security. All of these aspects combined to give us our great win.

Join a Team!

Did you play sports in high school? Do you want a reason to head to the gym and keep yourself in shape? Do you want to try a new sport? Want to be a team captain or benchwarmer? Now is your chance! The Wake Forest Catholic Community is no stranger to intramural sports. Intramural means within ("intra") the walls ("mural") because teams are made of students from within the university. In recent years, we have fielded teams in basketball, flag football, volleyball, tennis, soccer, water polo, dodge ball, and more. Currently, the student organizing our intramural teams for the Catholic Community is Josh. Email him with questions.

Campus Renew

The Campus RENEW process creates student leaders with a mature faith and social consciousness to guide the Catholic Church both today and in the future. The result is a process which creates and nurtures small Christian communities on college campuses through leadership formation, quality faith sharing resources, and onsite and offsite pastoring.  Participating in a small Christian community is an excellent opportunity for spiritual growth and interesting conversation. Groups consist of 5-10 students and are led by a fellow student.  Look for opportunties to sign up in September for a fall group.
