Francis' story is not some dusty boring old tale...but one which is vibrant, relevant and exciting!Francis' story is not some dusty boring old tale...but one which is vibrant, relevant and exciting!

Father Charles and our former Campus Minister Father Jude are Conventual Franciscan friars and are tremendous sources of information for St. Francis and St. Clair and the Francicscan way of life.

Julie McElmurry, a former Campus Minister with Fr. Jude,  has worked with the friars for over a decade and has earned a degree in Franciscan Studies from the Franciscan Institute at St. Bonaventure University in New York State. She, like Fr. Charles and Fr. Jude,  can help you get to know St. Francis of Assisi and St. Clair  on a deep and personal level.  You will discover that the saints lives are interesting and very inspiring.  They are great models for those looking for heroes to emulate.

Catholic Campus ministry at Wake Forest is inspired by the life and example of Francis of Assisi.  At the age of 24 Francis experienced a conversion of heart and began to serve the poor, to preach conversion and to live out the Gospel as inspired by the Holy Spirit.
